80cnd - paint booth and friends

    Took 80 cnd
    3g needed paint desperately
turns out pretty interesting to say the least
better pictures to come when i fix up a couple runs and the rear fenders
Car will be a daily driver and was a steal of a deal so figured couldnt go wrong.
    Rust only makes it faster

suspension, rims, r1 carbs, custom header/exhaust, delta cam on the way.
ported head, hich cp pistons and b18a/b rods soon as well.
once there if not at my hp goal 60 shot of wet.
thinking about going to kazz or quafi and getting a lsd built up as i will not enjoy one wheel peels.

btw cammo is hodd, roof and hatch
the thing needs a lip bad as well so i will be checking out my friends VW shop for parts that may be lying around.

It really is a hit or miss with people, either they like it or they dont.

Turns out i hated the idea but once we got it done i actually was pleasantly surprised.

Also turns out i could have used my neighbors paint booth if i had thought of asking before hand

Re: 80cnd - paint booth and friends

    I am disrespecting 3g owners?
    How would that be so.

My project is respectable as any since your and my tastes will differ greatly.
Also the rust holes through the doors kind of look better this way
I wasnt about to go spend 10 times the cost of the car to fix the rust, the car was only 3 times the amount it cost to paint it.

Re: 80cnd - paint booth and friends

    1. You should have fixed it somewhat...
    2. You should have takent the moldings off before painting.
    3. You should have never boughten that accord.
    4. You should Kill Yourself

Ok took it a little far on the last one.
Just not in the liking of my taste. Maybe if it was a "good" Camo paint job I would be happier.

Re: 80cnd - paint booth and friends

that much car on a 160cnd accord

I know that some of you take your time but this is mearly what i will be using as a daily driver. A different car is getting 95% of the funds,
This is merely limited to 3500.

All i can say is at least there are no spinning hubcaps and 3/4 of the rust was taken right out.

It’s not like we take our cars to car shows and show them off. We just had beaters that needed paint badly and since it is not worth it to get it done professionally and every body paints there car flat black we thought we would do something different. These are just our in the mean time cars. He is building a 900+ hp skyline and I am building a fully restored crx with a k20a in it so we are very strapped for cash. I was just glad enough that he bought a Honda he has been a Nissan for life kind of guy so that’s one more player for the Honda community.
So what? At least they will be quick and have no body kits, wings or under glow.
Hey It could be worse. It could look like this

Just kidding it could look like this

ohhh and on a side note there probably wont be any more pics of the blonds because they are his sisters but I was there helping him paint and all I can say is hot dam they are gorgeous
