I wouldn't bet on both going at the same time. The simplest thing would be the switch on the dash. Try that first. It's a switch for you to change the bulbs without the lights being on. It's simple, and a good few people don't know that that button does.
Another thing to check is if they will go down or pop back up when you turn them manually. On top of each motor, there is a cover. Under the cover, there's a knob with a directional arrow. Turn the knob. If after a few turns the motor hasn't reacted, you most likely have an electrical problem.
As for electrical problems, I'd check the wiring first. Beyond the wiring and the fuses, I'd check the combination switch and the headlight control module. I can't remember if it's under the dash or the passenger seat. If I had to bet, I'd say under the dash, on the driver's side, behind the fuse panel to the left.
I hope that helps.
i just so happen to have 2 extra head light motors
thanks i'll try the thing under the dash and yes i already tried to turn the manually and it goes up and down i have a donor car so i got two more motors will try it tommorow its dark now and if remember exactly where it is that would be helpfull or what i looks like thanx
Did you try the switch in the dash? It's just to the left of your illumination control, just to the right of your steering wheel.
When you say the motor goes up and down, do you mean it goes down, then under its own power, pops back up? If that's the problem, it's not the motors.
it goes up and stays up i tried the switch i looks fine is there enyway i can test the motors or the switch
So, when you try to move the motors manually down, do they pop up by themselves? If so the motors are fine. If you have another switch in your donor car, try that.
No when they go down they stay down until i let them up with the headlight rod on the colum. the push button switch doesn't work
Ok, take out the pushbutton switch completely and see what happens.
ok i will and let u guys know i hope this works cause i think 3geez look better with the lights down but thats just me thanx
take out push buten put in push buten from donor car if that dont woek then it 98% your motors

If you take out the switch it will do the same thing you are describing. When I disconnected my switch, the headlights would go up when the lights turned on, but wouldn't go back down until a functioning switch was plugged in. The motors are the last thing that I would look at.
Here's how to test the switch:
The way I have the switch now, let's say the top pin is #1 and the bottom is #6. Pin #1 is not used and pins #5 and #6 are for the dash illumination. That leaves us with #2, #3, and #4. With the button not pressed in, connect a meter to #3 and #4, you should have full continuity. With the switch pressed in, pins #2 and #3 should have full continuity. #3 and #4 should not have continuity with the switch pressed in. #2 and #3 shouldn't have continuity with the switch not pressed.
i tried unplugging the switch that didn't work but tommorrow i will go get the donor switch and test my switch thanx alot will keep u posted
well i fixed it u guys it was that switch thanx
