Are you kidding, I think your doing pretty good! Looks like you've finished up on most of it already. Looking really good with the coating.Originally Posted by guaynabo89

yeah the wastegate is not tied back into the downpipe. as for the clutch ill be installing a clutchnet red pp with sprung hub 6 puck.
to finish I need to install the clutch, injectors, exhaust, oil lines, and tuning.
hopfully things will work out and this will be done sometime soon.

I had a clutch masters sprung 4 puck and i loved it other than one time a spring fell out but they warranteed it for me no questions asked. The pedal was nice and it grabbed just right. And i think your making great progress i spent between a year or two doing my first turbo motor.
Ok, ok, your car is coming along dope as hell! You have the most beautiful Hatch I have ever laid my organs of sight upon! Truely a wonder!

no no .
no racing for me.well illegal anyway
hopefully in about 2 months runnig tuned with turbo????
wow, i've been gone from this site for awhile but it's nice to know you have put alot more work into that sweet ride of yours!
is the welder guy around here in central fl? i wonder if he could make custom mounting brackets to mount a different engine into the 3gee? i don't doubt it judging by the work he's done to your manifold.
Youd have to go to Gatos Performance. Hes real busy with race turbo setups but Ive seen him do odd things. Like anything money talks. Youd have to stop by and ask.
Well Since everyone complains I dont post enough pictures here are a coule of the engine from when it was getting cleaned up.

What springs are you running on the head, are they the stock ones?
I absoluty can't wait to see the Numbers you are going to produce from this build.
how much did you shave off the head?

The heads not shaved. It did get resurfaced though.
As for the springs they were replaced with supposedly better springs when I had the headwork done. The spring thickness is more than a 88-89 springs from a head I have sitting around but havent tested strength differences yet. The retainers were custom made though out of the highest strength aluminum.![]()
I forgot to post these up.
I forgot what a nice job they did on the valves themselves. You really cant notice unless you compare them to some stock ones.
Anyway more pics.
Here are the intake valves.... stock on left mine on right
Here is the exhaust. Kinda hard to tell the stocks true shape since it has deposits on it but the stock one is on left and mine is on the right.
I'll try to keep posting pics as they come along. Im trying to find someone to install a clutch for me since I cant do it anymoreSo hopefully I'll get some shots of that stuff.
WOW!!!![]()
Why can't you install the clutch?
