The check valve should only flow one way, just remove it and check that it flows in one direction and stops in the other.

Thank's for the quick response guys that site is pretty cool good info.I had a feeling the check valve was bad I just not long ago replaced the dashpot system and I noticed the check valve does not hold in any position. What would be the ramifications of this going or being bad?
Also this is a $30.00 item from the dealer what a rip off.

Buy a "help!" check valve for $5...

There is one 3-port check valve that would need you to plug one of the port before testing. If that needed to be replaced you could just buy a regular check valve and then use a vacuum "T" fitting as an additional port.

I don't know exactly what your saying to my knowledge it's just a little 1 by 1/2'' piece of plastic one inlet one outlet leading to the dashpot valve.
