Nice to know about the story of your these cars.Actually mostly i am interested in the Vintage model an your aunt,s Lexus attracts me well. All the cars showed in these pictures are very awesome.
By the way error codes are gone now moving on to wideband and tuning tomorrow. I had the o2 bung welded on the down pipe today.

So I spent some money today and made this happen. Dashport and bracket. Local shop ATP Turbo had what I need to get this thing ready for some parts the will show up this week. The filter is just there to give you idea of how things will fit.

I may be wrong. I think the turbo goes the other direction with the filter on the left. It would be a pita to get that exhaust to fit with the motor mount in the way.

someone make me an offer i just could not say no to.

Not if the return is in the correct place. Thanks for trying to help tho. The turbo is off a 84-89 2.3l 4 bager svo mustang and this how it was ment to sit. I just went through this with everyone on the fb group. Most people don't know that there a was a factor turboed mustang. Let alone how the turbo sat in the car.
You are correct to a point ... Turbo is out of an 84-86 SVO Mustang and or Turbo Coupe. From that point...
Loosen the 5 or so bolts on the turbine side and the 5 on the compressor side. You can clock the center section any where you want. Same with the compressor side put it where ever you want. I started out with that turbo.

Once again I respect your willingness to help me but you have forgotten that there is a intercooler that will need to be hooked up and by flipping as you have suggested would make running the pipping for that a pain in the ass. Also if I flip it as you have suggested the down pipe wouldnt be as straight as it can be. In this position it will clear the oil pan with havin to add any bends in the down pipe. IF I do as you said the turbo will also sit higher making it hard to close the hood. Heres a link so you can see how a stock turbo for the Mustang sits. You'll have a better understanding that the way it's sit up now if fine and the way it was intended to be http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...293104&alt=web

Understood! I assumed that you would remove the exhaust housing. But your right do what's easiest.

What are you talking about? In my one of my previous posts(less then a month ago) I posted some photos that shows what the exhaust housing looks like for this setup. Im sure you'll get the idea after looking at them. I'll be sure to post more photos as things come together if you would like to see more close of photos of the "exhaust/O2 housing" I can do that for you as well
[QUOTE=obd0driver;1169015]I also got some some parts for my turbo.
Here's a shot for my o2 housing that has been cut to use a 3in down pipe.

This would be the filter neck.

So , I am looking at these. You are keeping the internal wast gate? How are you attaching the 3 inch tube to the o2 housing?
To answer your question, yes. I meant the o2 housing.
I came home and put an eye on my old t3 looks like it will work. I don't think it's going to be is easy as you think it is. to be honest. I would rather fight the cold side versus the hot. One other thing the stock exhaust runs pretty close to center of the motor so you have to bend it back around to meet that.[
This is what I had to do to fit the 3 inch down pipe. I had to offset the motor mount. you will have more room with the log manifold. Seems harder to build to me.
A lot of that will depend on whether or not you are using a internal or external wastegate.

Another thing to consider. The 3 inch mandrel "u" bends are not very tight. Making it harder to get it back and around.
Trust me bro. I wouldn't not have bothered replying to this thread if I thought I was steering you in the wrong direction.

Have you had any new thoughts on this?
I would wait to do anything else In reguards to fabrication until it's in the car. I'll be the first to admit that I've made things thinking that it would fit and that I have plenty of room. When I put it in and not fit. Well I'd have to start all over.

It's not the I dont want your advice. you just missed the part where I said it was mock up. Also you assumed that I didn't take clocking the turbo in to consideration and that I was gonna use mandrel u bend to make a down pipe. Maybe I'm gonna have a friend of mine make a 100% custom down pipe. This is by far not the final setup I plan on running and I'm not sure you noticed that there is two motors. The one that's already in the car and the one in the photo in the mock up pictures that I plan on boring out 84mm with the forged LS rod's. There's no need to wait till it's in the car when you have sapir motor and a tape measure.![]()
Haha. I did not notice the other in the car. I guess I should read the entire thread before putting in my .02

yeah I dont mean to come off as a asshole but its was apparent that you hadn't read it in a while so I was getting a bit irritated with your suggestions because they seem as if you knew exactly what I was doing but didn't see all the stuff I have going on. I said before I welcome your input and thank you for trying to help. Its be a while since I've done this but this one means the most to me. Trust me I'm taking my time and make sure that even the play around set up is done right so there's less work when I get to the big boy setup
more goodies.
And mounted this guy.
Oh did I mention that I was getting one of these too. I think I'm the first to own one in the states.
Little teaser for you guy's.

So I've been giving it more thought about my down pipe and i think it may end up coming right out of the front bumper on the passenger side. #Becauseracecar

Also flipped and clocked the turbo to see how it fits. I picked up the return line and hooked up the fuel line on to the fule rail for the K tuned fuel filter kit.
Tight fit.

And here I was, feeling good about being able too successfully rebuild my Weber carburetor. Someday I may be able to run with the bog dogs lol. Your project is looking great, I'm jealous 😶
