    Spark Plug Wires

well im looking to get a good set of spark plug wires as today i destroyed my crane wires....i was checking for spark and they did not do soo well. i also have to heli-coil my head since i was rushing and i installed my spark plug wrong. im soo mad since i found out the only thing wrong was a fuse. now i have to get new set of wires, spark plugs....

any good recomendations.......im not that picky but i would like if they were red. ...also any other spark plug wires sets from like another generation would fit with out a prob

    Nopi has Nology for 150.00.
Thats to much for plug wires though really. I used to have some Ractives I got from Ebay for 0.99. They did alright. Ive got the same red Cranes. I have a hard time getting the timing light to clamp on the wire.

Mangacor makes good wires, they probley make red ones. I dont know how much they cost though.

    Re: Spark Plug Wires

I got msd superconductor wires. As for the cap and rotor try and get one at a honda dealer. I got both the cap and rotor for like $30-35, they made a world of difference in idle and acceleration. As for the msd wires i bought the 25ft roll and the boots so i had to crimp my own wires wasnt super expensive i think the roll was $50-75 and the boots $40 not cheap but also not $150 lol.

    Re: Spark Plug Wires

I personally don't see anyone justifying 150 dollar spark wires.
Do they really make that much difference, I doubt it. All you need is good quality and conductivity. something that is not going to melt, frazzle, change properties etc...
For 150, you may as well convert to coil on plug, or have they invented that yet for aftermarket.

not much bolt-on aftermarket. but it's all the rage in the dsm community. a lot of new cars come w/ cop setups too. so if you can find one in the jy, it might be worthwhile to snag it and make it work.

we can use the 84-87 prelude wires on the a20a3, right? asked in reference to these...

The Cranes I have are for an 85-87 Prelude. They fit, but there just a touch to short. And I mean JUST a touch. They do fit though.

They go on the cap and the plugs, but the boots are kind of streched a little on both ends.

    Re: Spark Plug Wires

I'm running a set of DIY 12mm(extra layer of silicone) moroso wires for a V8 since I need custom length wires since i converted to OBD1. There is enough to make two sets of wires I just need to buy another set of ends for the coil wire. It was like $10 less for a set for a 4 cylinder.

I am running 8mm NGK WIres. I have had great luck with them and have never had a problem with the wire separating from the plug connector like I did with Napa, Orielly (omnispark), and AutoZone (Bosch). You can usually pick them up for like $20 on ebay or order them staright from NGK.
