    Idle Question / CAI Question

Ok so I am having troubles with my dad saying that the idle is to high while I say it is too low. it sits at 750 and the reason he says it is to high is because it like to fluctuate some mornings. So my question is what are our cars desired idle.

And for the CAI question. It is getting hotter than hell around here and I can definetly tell that my car is suffering. So my question is, Is the 5th gen accord 94-97 because i see kits on there 94-02. and about how big of a hole are we talking and is it possible it will be ok when I swap over to the short ram in the rainy season again. Gotta love Oregon Weather.

    Thanks again,

    Mike

Re: Idle Question / CAI Question

id say 750 is a little too low..if i remember correctly mine idled right around 900...

as far as the 5th gen, 94-97 are the 5th gens, and they may list 94-02 because they used the same motor? again..could be wayyyyy off

Ive never installed a CAI on a 3g..so ill leave that question to someone else

The intakes are pretty much the same. I have a 94-97 Accord intake on my f23 vtec in the van.

Re: Idle Question / CAI Question

Well i have a carb, but i don't see how that would make any difference. Anyways mine normally idles around 850-900rpms. With all my lights on it is at 750rpm, which is the stock setting. So 750rpm is not to low.

There almost all the same. From 90-02 they are all F series motors. From the F22 non vtec to the F23vtec.
