    13-17 year olds

look for little hood rats at his apts that kinda look like they might fit the bill. anyone with half common sense wouldnt have done that to your dash. All it takes is some iniversal radio pullers or at very least two butter knives and the radio would slide right out.

    all this equals little kids.

sorry that happaned to you man. sad part is either they were looking to hook up a system in theyre own car or sell for extremely low street value.

Sorry man. It sucks that someone can put so much time, energy, and money into a car and then someone else comes along to f**k it up

    Re: schissen!

yeah, apparently this isnt uncommon at open apartment complexes. my friend was already planning on moving out to some aparments with gates. that should be in a few months. a lot of my friends live in open complexes, lucky for me i have a back yard to park in. but yeah, gonna get an alarm after i start a new job. if i do find out who did this, they will be sorry and i'm sure you can imagine i dont play around with people that steal from me. the glass was $30, the mud flaps were $10, the wire harness was another $10, and the deck i bought from my friend this afternoon was $50. so not too bad. they didnt take my 100 watt amp from under the dash and i have another small amp. i think my friend is going to let me use a sub so i can have a little bump.

here's the deck my friend sold me. its more than decent for $50, i think it may have more features than my kenwood. this is a panasonic if you cant see the pic. just waiting for my buddy to get out of work so i can get the wire harness for it. apparently he didnt know to cut the wires and give me the part that plugs into the deck. but thats ok as long as i will have some tunes later.

They stole the mudflaps too? Um..sounds fishy. Why would someone need mudflaps from a 3rd gen accord?

no, i had taken my original ones off and lost them. so with the wide tires, the side of the car gets really messy so i didnt think it would be too bad to get a set.

    Re: schissen!

yup same thing happen to my dx....some idiot broke the same window...and they didnt take shit...they only took the faceplate off and left it in my seat after they could not take out the deck......i just got my alarm installed this monday. 2 way pager system with remote start(but not hooked on since my car is manual) i kinda like it...even tho the range is only about 1500 feet(according to the manual) i get around half of that because the antenna is so low...im going to move it to the top of the windshield and see if that helps.

also how did they get into your trunk? the lil side lever......i bet.....when i got my car that was the first thing that i locked. since they broke into my uncles car to jack stuff from his trunk....a leather jacket worth 350 bucks and some electronic dictionaries. worth like 60 bucks a piece and he had 2 of them

    Re: schissen!

yeah, that 3geez sticker was pretty old. but i still wouldnt want it messed up like that. the trunk lever beside the driver seat doesnt lock, i dunno why. i guess i could take it apart and fix it but never have. i'm still planning on getting an alarm asap since i'm going to start working again. now i can afford a nice one. also, i remembered that i have a sub in my closet, just need a box for it and some better wiring for my new amp.

Even having a detachable faceplate should help, no?

    That sucks.

yeah, i've now started taking the face plate off. but i guess having no bumps also will keep theives away, thats what they're looking for to steal.
