All they would have to do is make top hats that fit out cars. Maybe they would do a group buy on top hats and you guys just purchase the coilover kit separately.

Hey Legend, think this would work for a 2G Prelude if I retain the factory top hats like you did? Or are the pinch forks of a different design/size?

Well I am not familier with the 2gee prelude sus, but if it is identical to the 3gee accord I dont see why not. You should ask this over at preludepower.com.

It is great, but I am still trying to find that sweet spot for daily driving. When set all the way to 36 it feels like I have solid suspension(big bumps knock your teeth out of your head), set down to 15 is a little loose for the rate of spring I have. 23-24 seems to be the spot to go with for daily use.

What are your rates again? With stupid-high rates I don't think you'll ever really find an ideal street setup.

15kg/mm Front : 18 kg/mm Rear, the car rides great, but it takes some getting use to. I personally like the feel of very stiff suspension, but that is definitely not for everybody.

Re: PROJECT: Full bodied coil overs

It shouldn't understeer until the front washes out due to mid-corner bumps.

I honestly can't imagine any cheaper coilovers can cope with 15k/18k. d2s for 240s can't cope with 8k/6k.

Actually stiffer rear makes more oversteer .

The squealing tires meant it was working, you know how it goes .

    Your roads look smooth there.

    Two comments:
    1) Learn heel-toe
    2) Shuffle-steer; don't underhand the wheel

Looks ok, can't really get a feel for speed (like most in-car vids).

Some are smooth, but alot of them suck . I was just granny shifting, and I was wearing boots so heel-toe was out of the question. The underhand just feels comfortable to me . Thanks for the complement.

Has anyone here learned doing heel-toe on our pedals? Maybe it's just because of my long legs, but my foot seems to get in a very uncomfortable position if I try to do heel-toe.

I have practiced it before, but yes it is a little more difficult then some cars.

This your project is my dream come true! Your mods always impress me cos you do exactly what needs to be done to our car precisely. I personally like the color of the case - it is rather discreet than showing off. I don't think I can live with over 10kg/mm but it seems that I can chose like 5kg/mm coil or so I might try one day. Good work, you made my day thanks.

Glad to hear I helped . I think 7 Front/9 Rear KG/mm would be perfect for daily driving, with a little bit of sport feel to it. You will have one advantage on me though, you will have an aerodeck .
