    Lowering my 3Gee in Australia

    Hey everyone from down under.

Couple of months ago my dad restored the families 1989 Honda Accord 2.0 Si, so i guess now it is my first car. I've done some minor mods not much.

Anyways the real question I'm trying to ask is, what can i use to lower my car (brands of springs and coilovers) that are available to me down here in Australia, i don't really want to purchase from overseas unless i know its a trusted store, something closer to home would be better.

Anyway here is some eye candy to show you how much it looks like a 4WD, i want to drop around 2" all around.

So yeah, would appreciate any advice.

Oh and I've had a look at this thread would anyone know any brands available down here that separate front from rear?

I've also had a quote of $380AU for King Spring Low's, but say said it would only lower my car 1.5"

    Thanks, Chris

1.5 inch drop dont look too bad with fat fives....check out my pics...plus anything lower you will have to get camber kits.

So I'm guess yours is a 1.5" drop all around? Yeah looks alright, i might go with the 1.5" option then

Also I just realized D2 is an Australian brand, well not sure if it is, but it has an Australian site:

    WEEEEE

    Definitely checking them out.

Actually while your here MessyHonda do you know where i can get the DC front strut bar for our 3Geez? and where i can get a rear strut bar for our 3Geez.

Just realized i want so many things that you have in your car at the moment:

    - Teg 90-93 red CAI (was it an easy fit? what brand?)
    - DC front strut bar
    - Justins rear sturt bar

Ideally want a place i can trust to either ship overseas or something local.

    Thanks, Chris

here is a pic of my car

in my opinion the dc front sturt bar and the custom justin rear one didnt do that much to help my suspension. i would rather invest money in a good set of sway bars. i got lucky with mine...i found it used and the rear ones....Justin86 mades thoes....but they were hard to put in...

Yeah that looks like the height i want it to sit at, and without changing the shocks i guess 1.5" is the max i should really drop it. So i guess its $380AU, which i guess is a small price to pay.

    Last question:

Teg 90-93 red CAI (was it an easy fit? what brand? links to product)

Also brand for sway bar? price and link?

It is so embarrassing at the moment I should be getting CAI done in a couple of weeks time, and I'll be sure to update.

It's basically a stock EFI engine, take a picture of it later today.

Hrmm just wondering why yours looks real similar to MessyHonda's (as in drop wise) your ride is so clean, can't wait till i have time on the holidays to fix up my pride and joy.

I might consider coilovers, but i don't know about you guys up in the states, but its hard to find them to suit our cars, and if i do find something, it is usually prices that make you shit yourself.
