Talking HOWTO: Install Timing Window Cover

This is a super-complicated procedure that I thought I'd document. This applies to 2g's, 3g's and Preludes too!

Step 1: Order part number 11109-PC6-000 from your Honda dealer.

Step 2: Remove item from package. It should look like this:

Step 3: Locate missing item in your bellhousing. It's that hole where you usually do your timing.

Step 4: Insert cover into window. This part is complicated as you don't want to drop it onto the floor! It might require you to sort of push it in one side at at time! Be careful!

Conclusion: This mod can take a very long time! Up to 3 whole minutes. I know it's a complicated process, but take your time, and be careful. You too can do this performance mod to help keep grease and grime out of your bellhousing so you can keep your timing marks visible.

Haha, it was more of a joke than anything. What's the timing belt cover peek a boo mod? Is that where you cut a hole in the timing belt cover so you can see your cam gear?

You're the man! This procedure applies to a lot of Hondas I'm sure, but this part number covers Accords 84-9 and Ludes 83-7.

You forgot to mention the need for a wrist grounding strap and anti static bag. Plus, it has to be 72 degrees F for this mod to seat right! One use sterile gloves are recommended as well.

I did the hole in the timing cover years ago,i have a lexan window in mine. i might consider molding an upper timing belt cover piece out of clear acrillic resin one day, like the clear dis caps. as far as the other "mod" he forgot the high dollar special imported from japan honda sealant to make sure you don't lose that expensive part. LOL just kiding

    LOL

Yeah I hope you guys are kidding about really hoping for a howto on cutting a hole in your timing belt cover. That would be about as rediculous as this "mod"

Anyways look on Ebay..wow not even one douchebag selling one NOS one for a few hundred bucks, and all these dodgy third party sites that show up on google don't have it either...find someone insane enough to fabricate one or live without it

Dont need it, any water that gets in there drains out of the bottom anyways.
