opening day 02-17-08 at my loacl track!

Ok so opening day was supposed to be LAST Sunday for my loacl track. It didn't open on account of the track owners being bitches. Nuff said. So yesterday it FINALLY opend. Yay.

I finally got a chance to see what the B16 hatch could do!

I was really expecting high/mid 15s out of it but the best I could muster was 16.316 @ 87.16mph.

I managed 3 runs beofre we decided to take off. Here at the stats on my best run.

Here are some shots just before my 2nd run. I ran this blue EG hatch. I think I see an intercooler there. Right before we raced the guy rolled his window down and said to me "you're about ta smash on me!" Boy was he ever right. Poor guy ran a 19.513 @ 82.14 vs my 16.775 @ 80.58.

yes it is and it was $40... $10 1 time reg fee and $30 to run

dude you need to work on that launch. i used to pull 2.2 and 2.3 second 60 foot times (which are terrible btw) on 185/70/13 toyo 800 ultra all seasons.

i think with a good solid launch you should be able to hit high 15's which is about right i would think.

Wow what elevation is the track? Those times seem awful slow.

We're around 500 ft around the two tracks here. Id be too embarrassed to take a 3G down a drag strip lol. But my 2000 Ram did a 8.9 second 1/8th mile, which would be a high 13 in the 1/4. Might get to run the 1/4 in not too long and see what it's really running now. Stock it was running a 15.4. Got some go fast goodies on it now!

No sense in adding anything if can't launch it. Just keep going and practicing. Once you get better than I would upgrade.

Also, when you practice make notes of what you did for that pass. For example, you launched at X RPM or had X PSI in the tires.

leaded race gas is a no no if you have a cat. it will clog it up and make the car run worse.
