That looks right, though there will be no air suction fitting for you.

Yeah you get to remove the air suction system for sure, and don't your carb'd cars only have 1 O2 sensor? You'll either have to remove them both completely completely, or maybe just deal with whatever weirdness of the O2 sensor only reading 2 cylinders might bring. Or have it welded in further back.

Also, good luck finding those gaskets. No parts stores in town where I live carry them, and I ordered OEM downpipe gaskets, and they still wouldn't fit for me. I dunno if I ordered the right ones or not, but I picked up some Toyota gaskets and modified them to fit.

Oh yeah, and that's going to take more than scrubbing. Try mediablasting and recoating. If you just scrub it off, it will look the same in a few weeks. Even if you paint it, the paint will burn off. Especially on the rusty areas...

But for $80, some work, and recoating, it won't be all that bad. It will be nice to have the header.

    definatly get it!!
I cut the flange nuts of the ends of the air suction pipe and found a large bolt, inch long and welded it in the center so it became a plug, screwed the newly formed plugs in the intake side and on the dc header.
on the oxe sensor I found brass plugs for those at local plumbing supply.

Oh yeah, looks like you'll need to have the flange for the cat welded back on too. Any exhaust shop should be able to do it. They can cut the one off of the stock downpipe and use it.

Yep, like roodoo said, you can buy some brass plugs at Home Depot. I took mine to an exhaust shop when they welded up my EGR hole and they found a couple plugs in for me that can be unbolted whenever.

yup...... for those crush rings ur going to have fun finding em. They're noy the same as stock n no exhaust shop carries that size.

if u can work around that n blast em shouldnt take more than having an exhaust shop weld a flange on.

Re: need an opinion for a DC header

i had dc headers on my car. the crush rings appear to be made into them. i'm going to be posting a whole thread in the next day or two comparing the visual/measurement specs on the stock, dc, and pacesetter headers within the next day or two. so look out for that, and i'll have your answer for sure.

They look like they're built in, but they're not. You can pull them right out with some work. It's just time and heat that makes them look that way. I've probably spent 12 hours (6 hours for 2 days) looking for the exact gasket. Nobody had them. Just find some with the same internal diameter, and if the outer diameter is the bigger, grind it down. It should still crush out the same.

Re: need an opinion for a DC header

It's authintic but it's missing a flange to bolt to the cat.
I dunno how long that header is going to last if you don't clean it good and recoat, but nice find. $80 is a bit much with all that rust and a missing flange, I would have got it for $50 tops but that depends how much shipping is too.
