I don't feel like paying thousands of dollars for a paint job, so I wanted to take my ride to get their Pro 4 job. Anybody else done this? Spending this much on one particular thing is kind of giving me anxiety attacks....

I had one done on my oldsmobile years ago and it held up real well.
Was it their Pro 4 paint job? If the cheaper ones are just as nice I'd consider those as well.
I dont remember it was so long ago but I do know it was their best one at the time.
My cousin head her truck painted by them too and and it wasnt the pro4 and hers did real well also, and she parked outside all the time

I got my first car, a 72 Pontiac, painted at Earl Scheib for $70. That was in 1981, though. All I can say about that one was that I got what I paid for. It sounds like they have gone upscale a bit. My approach on the Accord has been to keep it waxed and garaged so that I hopefully never need it repainted.
Where is this Earl Schieb. Is it a west coast thing? My baby needs a refresh on the roof. Paint's starting to fade.

Haha that's exactly why I need to take mine to be repainted... the top is so oxidized I can't do anything to get it back. Poor original paint....Originally Posted by speedpenguin

i think he was saying poor paint like poor baby, not like it's shitty
and lol dx needs paint pretty bad :-p
^^ Haha you are correct. Unfortunately those people I call my parents never really took care of the appearance of the car too much...they sold it to me with the top paint already gone. There are little parts on the body where the paint is still nice, but next to a bunch of oxidized areas doesn't look too nice.
