Stock Airbox removal

I don't think i searched enough but i belive no one has documented what the silver things are inside the air box i'm assuming their sensors to unload idle??

anyways i got rid of stock airbox major difference now i have a few questions i ran the pipe into the new filter cause i don't have a breather filter on hand.

what do i do about the AS silencer??
and is there any negative effect of block those 3 vac lines that the stock airbox had. i know one was #8 which split off into 2 and controlled the hot air diagphram.

and no i have'nt done the vac r mod. I can't follow the diagram very well so i'm not going to do it until i figure what exactly changes.
