back lights

i just painted my back lights all red and made them the racing lights. they look good.

i used to have custom clear tails but an old man put the end to that when he rear ended me now i have them painted black with read circles for brake lights orange for signal

Yeah post some pics. I swear when I first painted my tails red, the awesomest mod you can do, for so cheap, and yet it adds so much to the car.

the racing lights are just the turn signal lights and the lights beneath them inverted! You can't tell the difference???? I can if you just turn your lights on you only get the bottom half lit up, with racing lights (given your turns are painted) you get the bottoms lit up as well as the top turns, look at pic again, see it????

I agree, the 'racing' light look cool. The only thing I didn't like about them is that the bottom outside lights on the bottom bleed over to the rest of the assembly making look like bulbs are burnt out. Sorry to point that out, but its REAL obvious on mine since I have some funky extra bright bulbs in mine. I'm gonna swap those to sidemarker bottom ones for dimmer bulbs... perhaps that will help....

its only takes about 20 mins to do the mod. Half the time is waiting for the paint to dry

That looks really nice. IT was in the old board and i loved it then too. The brake light (which is painted cherry red) glows kinda pink right? is there anyway to fix it? or does it look kinda ricy though? thanks night.

Hey fellas,
Smufguy, no they are not pink, my brake lights stay red cus I used about 6-7 coats of red on them. Maybe you used less red and thats why they seem pink? If you want to fix it w/o reapinting, then just find some red bulbs and throw them in there and this will fix your problem. If you want to redo them then please follow my how to in that section on painting your tails red.

Coaster, I agree the corner one does bleed through but since these are the 3 minute racing lights I cant help it but the REAL racing light directions were to swap the bottom and top bulbs like I did and to cut that corner light and splice it into the turn signal light which will be the bottom light now. That way the corner light will not come on at all, but remember to cap off the cut wire left from the corner bulbs. I beleive this is how they are really done.
I included a pic of how they would look at night if done this way, but I think both of them still look good, although I might be inclined to do this mod later, hmmm......

I found it added about 10HP to my car.... match it with a yellow sticker on the back and WH0A... look out!!!

Blinkers, 4th Gen Spoiler"?????? Understand where I am going w/this???? OKayyyyyyy???? Anyway, realistically speaking it adds intimidation to your opponents on the road, got it? And it makes your car look different than every other 3G on the road.
