is a speed sensor specific to a transmission?

    like the topic says.

im attempting to swap in an engine with an electronic speed sensor, and i was wondering is the speed sensors are gear towards any certain ratio like the final drive or something.

i know that there are some CRX guys that swap out a B series electronic VSS for their D series ones, does anyone know if it works like this with the H series engines as well?

im more inclined to do an H series swap, but its nice to know that an accord one will fit into a B series one. worst case scenario, ill probably do a B series swap
