I'd say that you could make it work with some work.

I'm not sure what thread jacking is, but I hope this aint it. I have a question regarding the 89 SE-i Gauge Cluster!

Will this fit into an 86 Accord LX-i with no modifications? And how do I turn that lower seatbelt light into a shift light? Thanks!

A textbook definition. It should fit. You will need to buy a shift light, take out the bulb, and run two wires from it's socket to a bulb that will fit in the cluster.

How hard would it be to replace the seatbelt logo with an upwards facing arrow from the turn signal. I want it to look stock.

    Re: guage cluster

Lol, I guess your right. I just wasn't sure if it was a matter of simply unscrewing a few screws and removing the logo, or if it's all one piece and I'd have to scratch the seatbelt logo off with an exacto knife or cut it out all together or something. I was just wondering if anybody has done this, or if anyone knows what it consists of to make it happen. Thanks.

Oh and does anyone have a few broken 86-89 gauge clusters they'd be willing to give away? I'd be willing to pay shipping, but I'd like to take them apart and see what make's 'em tick. Thanks again.

I kinda like the orange setup too. The 2g hatches had all the orange lettering and lit up orange at night. It does feel kinda sporty.
