Nah its not 100% perfect. Its kinda wavy, but not too bad. Its noticeable especially on the left fender and quarterpanel. My dad said unless you are really really good with the filler/sanding, you will never get 100% straight flat panels.Originally Posted by guyhatesmycar
I don't really care, its better than most 'professional' shop would do. But again, I'm really happy on how the paint turns out
as long as the chrome bits shine it cant look bad.
thats what i tell myself anyway.
I remember the upper-mid creases as being particularly difficult to get right & consistent, being quite subtle in places. Likewise getting the fender gaps really good.
At least the gold shouldn't betray imperfections as much as your old Navy Blue would have. & there are always going to be faults that only seem to show up once you're nearly done.

That looks absolutly beautifull, but what happend on the rear drivers side bumper? Again great job, and it looks like it should have come from factory that way.

Man I know why offthahook is askin you about those clips. They are a pain in the butt to get out sometimes. And usually on a car of that age they crack and break. Good job taking it all apart the right way and taking your time. You did the job quick and did it right, which says a lot! Nice job! Your car really took a transformation!
Looking lively and fantastic!

I have no problems taking them out. The only clips that are broken are the one for the weatherstrip near the cowl thinggy and the bumper clips. I replaced the bumper clips with screws instead. The side mouldings are in perfect condition.Originally Posted by 2ndGenGuy
I've installed most of the interior parts, outside trims, painting the wheel wells black and reinstalled my system. No pics, it rained yesterday. I must say its near 95% completion and yes, photoshoot coming!
BTW should I leave the bumper overriders or should I take them off? They look clean without them but looks a bit bland, especially the front. Rear is alright without them. It goes well with shaved badges. Check my car domain page for pics of the bumpers with the overriders.
i like them, but it also looks pretty clean without them, so i'll say without
I like them! They look very old-school! Look cool on your car!
Pics!
I still need to polish the roof and boot lid again, I missed some spot. Moral of the story, polish in well lit area LOL.
What do you think of the Honda badge?
I like the badge! As always, good work on your car!
