    Re: mountain pass roads/touge

For touge racing team battling, a race has two stages — an uphill and a downhill battle. One car leads the race during the uphill stage, with the second car leading the downhill. Because most touge races feature narrow tracks, overtaking is extremely difficult and is sometimes impossible. This style of touge racing was popularized by the TV show, Initial D.

well i have done it but at like 12am....its not as cool because my tires were slipping all over the place.....during the 75f weather they are more sticky...and you can see more down the road....i love 3rd gear in these cars....its just crazy how good it pulls. you can go from 40-80 in just 3-4 secs.

good thing we can't just sporadically delete threads like this..... oh wait!?!!

    1. why?
    2. i am pretty sure if my car could accellerate from 40-80 in 3 seconds i would be running a lot faster than 16's with it.

    Re: mountain pass roads/touge

i haven't ran an official 'touge' but there are some roads in the area that curve and have elevation changes here and there. there is traffic all the time and deer as well as po-lice so i dont fuck with it as much. i do have some footage of a 100mph trip down an open stretch.

and i agree w/messy, i do most of the roads in between 4-6k in 3rd, and it feels really good actually..but not 40-80 in 3 seconds good, but pleasant

well, im not talking about running "official" touge races, i mean just running a touge road.

this doesnt have anything to do with touge battle or what not.

for those around the 915 we gots the transmountain road. I have heard of a few people dying because they were racing on it though.
