CAH, that type compression tester sucks & isn't real accurate. If you can, get one that screws in the plug hole.

it was probably all that reving you did sitting in place like in the video. it won't start with a blown head gasket because it doesn't have any compression. if theres oil leaking out of the head,i'm sure it's blown.
That's what i'm thinking, it'll still run and drive but you'll have to get it to start everytime... if it's a 5spd park it on a hill.... if ya know what i mean lolOriginally Posted by lostforawhile

we had a 85 subaru GL with blown heads and it still started and we drove it like that for months untel oil started pooring out the carb then we parked it for 3months some one came wo buy it and it started right up

maybe it depends where the gasket is blown.. but dude if you have oil coming from where the gasket is, what else could it be?
maybe you can sell it to the state for $1000 now.![]()

that sucks that u didnt get forrests car yetdont spend any money fixing this one just spend it on getting that other one even if it means having your dad take a bus or something over to forrests place
i'm not puting anymore money in to this car thats for sure tonight i am taking all my shit out of it, the car just has to last intel we move so just back and forth to his work and once to the store a weak it should be fine like i said we drove the subaru for months
....
i took some pics of the leak when my step dad was on his lunch break...
i started the car this time it started then it stalled real quick like it lost all spark or the battery cut out so i am think the stalling and starting problems are from elec maybe a bad ground? or the ecu
anyway on to pics

Yea check compression. From what i remember you said your car didn't have any oil and it started to knock, which i assume isn't good for the engine. Oil leaking from the head is most likely the head gasket since oil does run down from the head to the oil pan.

Well plugs look ok to me prolly lean if anything.
The head gasket pictures or leak what ever that is. You didnt use blue permatex on the head gasket??? cuz i see something blue on the seem.
That leak is most likely the distributor to head gasket. You can use permatex on it in fact I would recommend it. Its a common leak path.

Isn't the oil passage on the intake side of the block? You need to completely clean that mess up if you want to find your leak. It looks to me that it is coming from the distributor seal, an $8 part.

If we are talking about the shaft seal, Honda doesn't sell them, they sell you the whole dizzy instead. Drivewire and some others sell them for around $8. Honda only sells the O-rings.
