    Aluminum Knoobs are awesome.

If there is anything that resembles an Xmas for me than I will go to the leather shop and have them fab up a matching tan/brown shift boot, arm rest cover and steering wheel wrap. It will be neat.

the only issue with aluminum shift knobs, is you either burn or freeze your hand, remember how hot a car interior can get in the summer, that shift knob will reach that same temp, enough to cause serious burns to your hand. I used to have one, got a goofy golf club cover to go over it.

I would mount that knob on a dummy shift arm on a plaque and use it as table art. too nice to risk anything happening to it.

I was using this for a month, but it looked ugly without a boot. lol, I took this pic after I scorched my hand on it on a 95 degree day.

I have the one off of one of the three g test mules, but it's really deteriorated in the last couple of years, one of my relatives worked for American Honda back in the day, and they did suspension tests in Northeast Ohio where I grew up. Best place to torture test parts. He swiped one of the knobs back around 85 I think, They would close off backroads and run the cars at full speed over ruts, potholes, washouts etc, until they broke. They didn't need to create the test track, it was already there.
