    Carb with Intake?

I'm driving a carburated '88 DX. I've seen a few people that have added short ram intakes from newer Civics, but before I go and buy an intake and filter, I need to know....will it actually help my engin at all? The short rams that I could use would be sucking warm air from my engine bay, is it worht it? Has anyone done this before that knows the potential gain?

ok, first of you can't add civic intake. it is for EFI accords.
you are carbed, which means you have to make your own one, custom. and yeas, if you stick far enought from engine, you will suck cold air which has more Oxygen with will help burn fuel a lot better.

It will help out a lot because carbs need warm air like FI cars need cold air. It will have the same increase as any other intake would. I have an 89 lx carbed. I'm still tweeking with my engine. I put a breather filter on my valve cover and noticed my rpms increase a bit faster.
