i'm gonna swap in a new engine and keep my car for a long time. i'm just wondering what kind of stock stuff i should replace to keep the car in one piece and keep things from happening like what happened to juan's car.

Just redo all the suspension. New wheel bearings, tie rods, ball joints and bushings. It shouldn't be over $1000 if you do most of it yourself.
While your at it you could put the prelude upper arms in too.
