Sweet! Why no outside air? If you get a blower that is at least close, you might be able to cut down the air ducts to fit it a bit better... Or at least adapt the fittings somehow. Maybe a 3g blower???

    Check this out - http://www.surpluscenter.com/item.as...tname=electric

I would have to turn this guy sideways and support its weight, plus connect it to the evap inlet. Plus, merge the housing that has the door in it so the outside air could be connected on demand.

Anything is possible with cubic dollars!

    22.5amps!!!!

That's like 1/3 of what your alternator puts out... I can see it now, you turn on the A/C and it starts snowing inside the car as all the lights dim!

Well, what I would try first is to "rig" it to blow into the opening where the air presently enters from within the cabin (I like cockpit better!), thus "boosting" the air into the present blower. That way you could use it to "chill out" the car, then resume ops with just the regular wimp-o-blower...

^^^ Definitely a good idea... Interesting how one might accomplish this. Maybe hook it up to the switch on setting 3. Then full blast is really full blast.

That's fucking awesome!! I love it!!

I just kicked a rat out of my blower motor today, I was stripping the asphalt shit off of the floor, and for some reason, reached over and turned the fan on. Moments later I was ripping it out. Pictures tomorrow.

I know on AC fans for the home, the squirrel cage type have to have a certain amount of air flow resistance to keep from drawing too little or too much amperage. You have to set those up by reading the specs on the motor and use a clamp on amp probe and adjust the outlet of the fan so the amps read to spec. If you have it wide open it will eventually burn up the motor. I assume this could apply to this DC motor as well since it states an max amp draw.

True. You want some back pressure on the squirrel cage outlet to limit current draw...

I don't know if any of you have an electric leaf blower, but I do, and I might try to set up a test to see if adding an external "pre-blower" like I discussed earlier has any merit.

Dang, if I didn't have to go to work I could mess with this car every day and not run out of stuff to try!

Dude, you're tellin me! No work, combined with unlimited funds would build one hell of an Accord. All I think about all day at work is what I can do to my car next...
