Re: Keeping up to its original name

Yeah im stocked that im finally getting somewhere with this claim. It was starting to feel like if i was the one to blame for the accident.
As far with the money goes. I was quoted 5 grand for the paint job. Its going to be a full paint job the whole car is going to be painted from top to bottom. (well not the bottom of the car lol.) but the engine bay, inside trunk, inside the car and door jams. That 5 grand could been higher but i told them that i was going to gut the car myself, and i was going to put the parts back. The only thing that i am not gong to be putting back is the rear and front bumpers. I am going to let them do that. but the interior is going to be gutted by myself.
I plan on using the money as follows.
Im going to the junk yard to buy the inner rear bumper and inner foam bumper.
Buy the front and rear bumper shell new from the dealer
    have the body straighten.
what ever is left i will use it to go towards the paint

you really have to fight with them not to salvage a car. They are making tons of money from our monthly payments. They try to be intimidating and try to push you around. In my case i was lucky since i was not at fault in the accident. I was able to throw the "sue" word around. Thats what started to get the ball rolling in my case. Hope it works out with ur friends gt

Just got done reading all six pages of this claim. Damn, what a hassle for someone's stupid move (the lexus owner's move, namely). Props on not letting them salavage your car and getting almost 3 grand out of the ordeal, nicely done Senior Hamburguesa con Queso.

That's got to be the cleanest living DX I've ever seen.

Damn son, dont know how you worked that much out of a ding in the rear of your car and kept it from being totaled. I got 1,300 for a broken turn signal and a bent headlight skin though lol.

Cant wait to see how the paint turns out. Finally your driver side fender will match the rest of your car!!!

Wow I haven't been on here in a LONG while. This is fantastic bro! The insurance companies always assume that they can push everybody around because they have little knowledge about legal actions. But, whenever someone knows what they're doing and plays hardball, then the insurance company will caiter to you hand and foot. Glad to see you kept your car and that she'll be like new not at your expense.
