exhaust leak

i just wanted to know how much it would cost to get a patch on my exhaust over a leak. probably at a regular shop if they do that or maybe an exhaust shop. either way i just wanna rough idea of how much i need cuz the smell of exhaust is annoying. thanks

You could probably pick up a patch kit at any auto store, depending on the size of the leak that is..

If they can weld it shut about 5-10 dollars. Thats how much it is around here. If its a large whole they'll just replace that part of the exhaust.

i think i'll end up getting part of the exhaust replaced. today it got worse. about 2.5 - 3 months ago it got loud all of a sudden but i thought "hey, this actually sounds kinda cool, i'll keep it until i have money". i'm still broke. then about month ago it got a little louder and started smellin funny. then today it got even a little more louder and smells a little worse. what a pile. i think i'll have to borrow $$ from my parents. oh well, as forest gump says "shit happens".
