un-motivated!
someone make me an offer i just could not say no to.
3GR
i could do that, but i'd rather go with the original just for the convenience of not having to pull the whole motor later to put it in.
Its still at the shop. I'll be up there Monday to talk to MattOriginally Posted by 89turbo'ed
Yeah this is very true. I got the prelude mount in today and its waaayyy different. The A20 mount is way closer to fitting. Oh well the saga continues....Originally Posted by carotman

Ok now I have decided I'm going to order all of the mounts and brackets. Would that be #10 #11 and #12 on the diagram? I just want to make sure I get the right parts before I order themOriginally Posted by A18A

This is off topic but what the hell is #1 there for? One of my cars have it and it doesn't look like it does anything.
I thought #3 was the rear mount

Ok so I just ordered #3 #10 #11 and #12 plus all of the bolts and brackets. I hope shipping doesn't rob me but I think thats all of the mounts I would need.
#10 is the cast iron front mount bracket used on '88-'89 models with hydraulic front mount. #11 is a stamped steel front mount bracket used on 1.6L engine models, and maybe others too in japan, with solid rubber front mount (#3). So if you want a solid front mount then #3 and #11 that you've ordered is fine, but #10 you definately dont need since it's on all USDM 88-89 A20A engines too.
i was reading at prelude power and they said the auto a20 came with a solid front mount? i wont not know if it would work for you or if its even a fact

All you need is #12 i wouldnt waste money on shipping when you can get everything else in the US. Maybe order 2 and sell it to someone else in need to make some money back.
Well I finally got the mount in Tuesday and it turned out to be the wrong one. They sent me the #3 mount instead of the #12 mount. But I'm going to keep it anyway because its in a lot bettter shape than the mount I already had. The problem I'm facing is they don't have the #12 mounts and He told me that they don't sell them new anymore because they are discontinued....Will everyone please keep an eye out for a #12 mount for me. Overdosed needs a ratchet to drop his engine. Carotman and Robt5580 do you guys have any sources that could locate one?
could you just buy a used one from stronghonda?

They are completely out . They can't even get a new one because they said that they are discontinued..... Any have a close up diagram of the mount that provides measurements?? I have a friend of mine that says that he could fab up a mount if he had the measurements. This will only be temporary I 'm still looking for the original mount. Wohdog you got any part cars laying around?
LOL the gearbox im getting for you has another one. but i have that many rear mounts lying around i dunno whats what anymore, last count there shd be an auto a20 mount a auto/manual b20a mount and a b18 mount but im sure ive seen more than 3 in my shed. and one is sold allready to b20a86lude (thru alex on preludepower)
ok cool. while on the subject of mounts what the hell is #1 for?????
wohdog, just to make sure you get the proper mount for the B20A, it's labeled "PH3". Auto or manual doesn't matter.
The 2nd gen Prelude and 3rd gen Accord rear mount bracket is also different tough they use the same engine. Be careful
