    I've purchased the turbo setup for that car and it will be shipping to my door soon. So you'll get to see the setup in real life.

    my cooler is from an aircraft. the nuts that the hoses screw into,are actualy brazed onto the top of the end plates. i can't figure out why they show air coming into the end,but the air hose going to the filter is much bigger then the lines in the end.

    Well, first there's the flow of air that goes through the charge piping. You can see the in and out there... then it looks like there's air that flows through the intercooler to cool the pressurized air.

    thats what it is, its just not a very good illistration. makes it look like outside air is being drawn into the intercooler, when its really just passing through the fins. kinda looks like its a top mounted intercooler also instead of a side or front mount.

    i swear thats a modified aircraft oil cooler,i can guess the scale of the engine from the fact it's a 1.3 litre. and it's almost the same size as my cooler. the one i have could have bigger input hoses if the nuts weren't brazed to the ends. they could be at least 1.5 inches, and thats plenty big enough for pressurized air for a system that small. even large industral air compressors can function from a 1.5 inch inch inside diameter hose. remember restriction isn't as critical on a pressurized system. as a matter of fact the turbo can probably still make more boost then a displacment that small can use.

    one of only 2 or 3 Factory Turbo'd Honda's ever ! {honda Z 4wd turbo (kei) & early 2l Legends ?}

    Congratulations, I hope.

    Turbo or Turbo II ?
    The Earlier car's setup being a bit more basic wasn't it? without intercooler or Fuel injection.

    Planning to inject or Carburette?

    We got the standard Honda City here as a Funky tallboy restyle of the 2nd gen Civic floorpan & also have RHD so a few City Turbo, Turbo II & Cabriolet's have found there way here.

    A club member has a Turbo II he'll probably bring along to the next club workshop day (if he's in the country, & doesn't bring his Ferrari Boxer, Mazda Cosmo or parents Datsun Cedric Hardtop). If you need any detail Photo's...
    Last year he brought it along with it's newest/ultimate accessory -a Honda Motocompo mini bike in the boot for people to try:

    http://my.reset.jp/~inu/ProductsData.../MOTOCOMPO.htm

    Might be worth chasing the Columbian? guy on the 1st-gen-Civic site with the recently injected, turbo'd '80 Accord.

    Thanks for the link, I will check it out. This project is not going to come together for a long time, and I'm not even going to attempt to start it for a while, but I am going to try to use the City II fuel injection, and the stock ECU and see what happens. It's a 5-injector system, the 5th being for the CVCC system. So, the city may be the only fuel-injected CVCC car they made. I don't know how aftermarket fuel controllers would work, or if I could even program a megasquirt system for it. Having one really rich injector and 4 really lean ones, and trying to get the lean-to-rich ratio right could be REALLY interesting.

    I guess we'll see what happens in a year from now. I'm getting the setup now, because I got a smokin' deal on it.

    the 3rd gen civic EW5 engine is a CVCC injected engine aswell. the best 1500cc engine ive ever driven, so good on gas and quick for a 1500. and people have turboed them so maybe u shd go and see what they did for fuel management. ive driven my mates turbo 1 city and its not very fast stock. we just got an intercooler and boost tap for it to hook up today then ill see what it does aparently they can be quite fast when modified

    Sweet! Good to know. I may have some ECU options after all, and local as well!
