the koni's are rare and expensive, get tokicos and H&R springs
Koni's for the 3G are discontinued.
Do like knarg suggested H&R and Tokico's
there are eibachs on already and don't have the money to buy another set of springs.Originally Posted by knarg
what kind of eibachs, do you know?
get the tokico struts though.
not sure they're yellow and i think the guy said it's got a 2 1/4 inch drop.Originally Posted by knarg
If the car was lowered by fitting firmer springs (as opposed to cutting the existing springs), then they probably blew out the shocks. You might be able to send off the Bilsteins and have them revalved, cost you about $75/shock plus shipping to CA. In any case, you should get a handle on what the springs are doing, because if you get regular (new) shocks and put them on with the heavier springs, you'll get "pogo sticking" and will blow out the new shocks also.
Are the springs progressively wound?
yes they are progressively wound and the shocks are stock not bilstein.

tell ya what ill give you my konis if you buy and ship me a set of D2 coilovers :-D
I don't think Eibach makes a spring that lowers more than say 2.4" unless it's a coil-over kit, which I doubt you have. I bought Eibach 1" lowering springs and Bilstein shocks for my '89, and I had to have the front Bilstein's revalved twice before the front end would stop bouncing. If you could go for an adjustable shock, particularly on the front, you'll be much happier, IMO.
When the shocks/springs are set up right, they're a joy to have. When they're set up wrong, you're either bouncing around (underdamped), or feeling like you're riding in something with rocks for suspension (overdamped).
With that much lowering, you probably have camber issues on the front alignment. I would consider living with what you've got until you can save up for a spring/shock combo that works right out of the box. Forum members here can help you with what they have. Othewise, you might spend money and still be unhappy.
ya if i had that kind of money i'd put them on mine.
im trying to get a price on tokico blues from local speed shop but they didn't have listing so i gave them the numbers i got off here so they have something to look up,hope they get back to me. well the speed shop told me it be 500.00 for four tokico shocks, thsts way too much.

if you look on ebay they have tons of tokico blues, listed at like 200 bucks.
they are around 200.00 on ebay than there's the exchange to american money plus 45.00 to ship them and i don't have paypal.think i'll wait for speed shop to get back to me.
i dont think those are eibach springs eibach springs for 3gees are red (sportline) or black (prokit)
i know sprint and arospeed make yellow springs though
if it's a 2"+ drop the springs might blow out your tokicos too so look out
I know gold line made 2 1/4in drop srpings for our car and they are yellow could be those. And as for the Tokico struts try www.nopi.com.
No more 3G but that doesn't mean i cant look at yours...
yeah tokicos are the best you can get unless you get some civic front iluminas

the best thing you can do right now in your situation is go back to original until you can lower it right otherwise live the life of hard knocks.
Get the Tokicos go to the junk yard pull a set of original springs or buy them from someone on here. I'm sure you'll find alot of people with their original springs stashed in the garage.
