    engine eletrical problem, smoking

ok for a start, when the engine is started it only wants to idle at about 4-5k rpm, wont go any lower (huh?) and without the keys in the car, leaving it sit for about 2 minutes i saw some smoke coming from the belts side of the engine, probably the alternator, not sure, but ended up with alot of smoke coming out of the wheel well, stunk so bad , now what could that be?

ecu isnt throwing any codes either

Sounds like something froze up and is toasting a belt. Make sure all of the accessory pulleys turn freely.

Maybe one of the diodes is going out in the alt. Have you been having an issue with the battery draining while parked?

lol b20a alternators suck real cock. i just blew my 4th one last night. and yes alternators smoke heaps when they blow up, as long as they dnt fry your electrical system like mine did in my other accorD.. so im hoping this means its the end of your battery draining issues

nah this was on the blue car, hope its the same problem with the vigor though, maybe i should just unplug the alt from the parts car when i use it? i know it would drain the battery running it but the car doesnt even drive 50m, and i dont wanna break my electricals
