the think on the crank pulley is a trigger wheel. that is a 60-2 (58) tooth trigger wheel that the sensor picks up on when to tell the system when to fire. its super accurate. like to 1/4 of one degree.

I got this in trade for building their new website. But cost would probably be around $3k ish for what you see in those pics including the work on the crank pulley etc

Are you going to be using the knock sensor? If so, how does one go about setting one of those up? Looks like a sweet project. Can't wait to check it out on Saturday.

Yeah I am definitely excited to start working on installing all of it. As for the knock sensor, I will definitely be using it. I will have to tap out a 3/8 NPT hole somewhere on my block though!!! EEK!

I have a few ideas of where I might put it though. Worst case I can probably get a metric knock sensor from another import that will thread into a hole on the block, and try to calibrate the system to play nice with the 'different' knock sensor. But I don't have a problem drilling a hole into my block lol

can't be too much worse. there is actually not all that many wires compared to what i will remove. it will probably be a giant mess once i just verify that it all works, but i will clean it all up and get it tidy afterwards.

worst case if it is ugly at least it will be fast... ;-)

Re: Finally got my engine mangement parts!

Yeah its one less excuse I have for why the car doesn't run. It will probably take me a few weeks to get it all ready to start up again, but I am hoping to make some good progress this weekend.

Re: Finally got my engine mangement parts!

Just a little curious on how it hooks up to see parameters on the sensors. Does it have a DLC you hook up to a lap top to tune it?

Nice little set up there BTW.

Re: Finally got my engine mangement parts!

Yeah there is a program that I will load on my laptop called 'WinTEC4', it will interface to the ECU with a serial cable.

You can datalog, realtime tune etc all from that software.
