Difficult to Start After Choke Repair

Hey Guys! Just want to ask a questions about carb choke related problem. I recently had the carb choke adjusted because the engine is vibrating during start up and
the engine is running rich. The car runs and idles fine now except it is difficult to start when cold. Before I had it repaired, I only have to step on the gas pedal once and the car would start right away. Now I have to step on the gas pedal 3 times before I could get the car running. It takes me 3 tries to start the car now. Also, it doesn’t start anymore without stepping on the gas pedal even though its warm outside. Could you guys tell me if the mechanic adjusted the choke incorrectly? Any ideas will be appreciated. The car has been tuned up prior to the repair. Thanks in advance!

Outside air temp makes no diifference only if the motor is warmed or has been started recently. Then I might question why hit the gas pedal or activate the accelerator pump.

Hitting the gas pedal is like priming the engine, it helps with start up. My engine runs perfectly fine, and i still step on the gas one time before starting it. Anyways, i would check to see if the choke is closed when starting the engine, make sure that everything works properly. I found out if you put the key onto the ON position and then hit the gas once or twice, it makes it easier.
