Exclamation Hanginbyaccord's 89 LXI Project log

Here is some pictures of my 89 Honda Accord LXI, I am currently doing body work, trying to get ready for paint.

It's not about whats on the outside. It's about whats on the inside. It's about your heart slowing down. It's about riding that line between good and idiot. Because the truth is, it anint a hobby.

not bad, not bad at all. looks like you got a nice little project going there. and from the looks of it, you'll be redoing part of it once that rust spreads again. other than that, it's not bad at all. showing nice promise.

Your bondo is over a few rust spots and is kind of heavy in places as well which means more work sanding, and the thicker layers like to crack.

If you're not doing any metal repair work, I would just get that rust out any way you can before it spreads and then clean and primer and repaint, no way you're going to get a nice job with just bondo. And bondo doesn't stop the rust.

no disrespect, but the filler looks like buzzards shit all over your car. you should smooth it out while it's still not hardened. much eaisier to work with, then all the excess. go to eastwood.com and look at their rust converter. get all your rust down to bare metal, then treat it with it. it's designed to seal the rust permantly and will stop it.

Thanks Snoopy I like to see you finally give me a good comment lol, I dont think the rust will spread again if it does it wont be very fast, its stored in climate controlled storage in the winter.

I know bondo doesnt stop the rust but its a temp job for now. Money is short. I know its heavy in places, I didnt have a bondo spreader but I do now so it will be alot easier. sanding is a bitch but it will be work, I plan to do and grind off the thick bondo. thanks for the input.
