    Upgrade

    Ok, it looks like the upgrade was mainly successful. The board is still here after all

    What I need is a list of anything that isn't working properly so Joe and I can fix any outstanding issues that exist.

    I am aware that the main page at 3geez.com is down right now and will be working to get that fixed.
    I'm just like any other member on this board.......

    Re: Upgrade

    seems like if i try to quote somebody, it was posting it really quick and then giving me an error message saying i need to wait 30 seconds between replies instead of going to the "you'll now be taken to your post" page.

    just did it again. and it's also doing it randomly, not just when i'm quoting.

    the quick reply box is very small (used to be a lot wider)

    using Firefox

    plus anybody got the link to the "recent threads" link that's usually on the front page?

    Re: Upgrade

    it seems like the quick reply box takes a long ass time to show up now.. before it would show up with the rest of the thread.. now the thread shows up, images start loading and when everythings almost done then the quick reply box and bottom of the page shows up. lots of times im ready to reply even before the page fully loads though

    Re: Upgrade

    yep, i get that error too

    I think figured out why the quick reply box takes so long to show up too... in the HTML code a Javascript file is included which I assume displays the reply box. The script is included quite low on the page, after all of the posts.. so the script doesn't start loading until after the post text has been displayed.. consequently the quick reply seems to take a long time to appear.

    this could (theoretically) be solved by inclusion higher up on the
    page.. though I dunno if you want to get into fooling with the template like that lol

    edit: well at least it looks like the javascript files get cached so next time you go to the page the quick reply pops up pretty fast

    i would like to get my SU project thread moved out of off topic, into eithier R&D or carb tech, this is a technical project, not an off topic project. not only am i losing the post count,no big deal,i can't link this thread to other people outside the site. i have asked several times, and have recieved no response whatsoever. here is the url https://www.3geez.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56803
