does anyone know how to adjust the dam gas tank door,every time i try the door won't pop open,i have to open it with a putty knife!

is the little spring clip that pops the door out there or is it missing

no its still there but when i try to bend the tab it sticks and i need topull the door out a bit to get it to pop open then when i shut it again it won't open.

my gas door peeps outward a bit, is there a way to fix that?

Try bending the tab that holds the door closed. Keep the longer part of it dead straight as its easily distorted out of shape & adjust only the part thats at a diagonal (if you catch my drift?).

Takes a little time but doesn't take much adjustment to get it bang on.
