Will this hurt my resale value?

This is what woke me up at 3:15 this morning. A drunk driver plowed through our garden into my moms car which then slammed into my minty black 3G, which is not so minty anymore!!! Drunk driver then took off and has not been seen since.

Could have been worse I suppose, drunk drivers over here plow through the houses instead, and then reverse and hit cars on the way out.

I think if you report it quick enough you can find who did it.

How did you not wake up to hear that out front? Everyone taking a full bar of xanax before bed? That'll mess up the resale if you sale it like it is.

I did wake up! It sounded like someone dropped a dumpster on the street. We repoted it immediatley. We were driving around till 5 this morning looking for the bastard but we had no luck. I'm thinking of getting the rest of the car repainted while it's at the bodyshop. And the resale thing was a joke. I'm not done with this car yet.

Do you live on a main street in or a community, chances are it is a close or in the vacinity neighbor. What color is the paint that is creamed into the nissan from the hit and run car? Measure it so you know what height of bumper hit the car too. It looks like a big ass truck hit it looking at the nissan. Also measure the wheel distance from the track marks...

Re: Will this hurt my resale value?

there is a slight corner before my house. It's not really a main road, i'm up in the hills. The paint was blue on the nissan. There was only paint transfer on the bumper of the nissan so it could not have been a jacked up truck. Maybe like a dakota or a ranger? it's too bad the driver didn't leave any of his truck behind. The damage actually is worse than it looks in the picture on my accord. I had a little bit of rust behind the bumper where the clips that hold it on are. When the nissan hit my car it tore a hole into my trunk. This gives me a reason to repaint the car anyways. I imagine the factory pearle paint will be expensive to mix. And about the rims, I think they are off of a CRX. I have tokicko hp struts in my house right now and H&R spring in the mail. They should be here this week. This weekend I was going to order a set of fat fives but i may have to hold out for a while now until the car if fixed. I'm not pissed that my car is damaged, I'm pissed that someone got away with it.

Here are some more pictures of the damage and our wonderful little rental car!

Here's a picture of the side with no damage. I hate how my car now has a good side and a bad side!

Re: Will this hurt my resale value?

I will be taking it off the road for this winter so I can rebuild my engine. Do you think our engines like 11:1 compression?! All i've got on the car now is a 2g integra cold air intake and a stock exhaust with no cat and a magnaflow muffler. I don't like the sound, anyone have an HKS on theirs? I can keep up to my friends 90 integra in the first 2 gears but i want to win! I have an appointment for ICBC (my insurance company) to look at my car on thursday. They wrote of my friends 87 jetta for a bent bumper and a dent in the fender last year, I hope they like hondas better! Who doesn't!
