TK89ACC has 18" wheels and they are 42mm offset and he first had a 2" drop, now he's running on air and can go lower. But he had to get his fenders professionaly rolled because that offset makes the wheels and tires VERY FUCKING CLOSE to the fender well. Alot of people came to the conclusion that you can only run 45mm offset, but I think there is like 2 people in here that has ran 42 mm offset.

well it seems most the wheels I see that are "for" the 89 accord are a 40mm offset. So I should look for 45mm offsets?

40mm is the norm. 18" is not the norm and because you HAVE to run 215mm width's on 18" rims you need to bring the tire away from the fender lip. 2 people have used 42mm offset to do that. 45mm would give you a insurance policy if you should go 215mm tires that just happen to be a smidge wider than the 215's tire's they bought. So I'd recommend 45mm offset. Being that 42mm 18" rims and tires run so close to the lip, a extra 3mm away isn't a bad idea.

Yeah man go with the 45mm if you can.......Mine are close as hell to my wheel well, I couldn't imagine anything wider. But that is cool there are people on the board running the 7.5's, new info If you go with the 18's you are gonna take a big hit in the performance dept., my 18's weigh like 26lbs I think But the looks are definetly there with 18's

    these look good

When i decide to get rims i want 18"s ive always been partial to these rims ebay link . I like the look of the rims being all face and not the deep dish look. Also i dont care for the extra bolt pattern on rims they look like universal shit. you can find them on ebay sometimes for like $400-$500 and the 18"s are 45mm offset. this is my opinion and what i will get when i decide to drop a grand on rims and tires(Yokohama Parada Spec-2 -215/35/18-)

I personally wouldn't go with 18's. That is way too big on a 3G accord. Stick with 16's or 17's. You want it to ride good, look good, get 17's.

nah 18's aren't too big, as far as looks anyways......They would look like it if you don't have the car lowered enough and there is a big gap in the wheel well. IMO lowering the car ATLEAST 2 inches is a must. There are two things that I have against 18's.....only way they will fit is with a 35 series tire, which makes for a rough ride sometimes. Another downfall is the loss of power that comes with putting on a heavier wheel.
