    question about vacuum line removal

so I've been reading up on vacuum line removal, and I really want to do it. But, my state has emissions testing. Is there any possible way to do it so that it still passes emissions?

no, though you can try a mechanical secondary, that would probably effect emissions, but you can just easily put it back to how it was before doing it, in just a minute or 2

Re: question about vacuum line removal

After a bit of thought I decided against doing anything to my current carb. Instead I'm just going to save up and buy a weber. I've been reading up on the carb tech forum, and I understand some of what's going on, but I'm still unsure as to which carb produces the most overall power. the 38, 34 or 32/36? any help would be appreciated.

Well It really depends on how you tune it theres is one guy who has a 38 weber with a stage one cam grind and i think an adjustable cam gear. he has a thread where he beat a 240sx with an exhaust down in louisana, he also claims to get around 25-27mpg city and easy 30 plus on the highway.

Thanks I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled for a good 38 on ebay, and when I have the money I'll pick one up.

I would be cautious though you don't know if you will pass right off the bat with the 38. It can be done but you'll need to do tuning of your own.

You wont pass visual inspection if your state has that unless the guy working there doesn't know much.
