I wouldn't worry about that hole. Pretty sure that's just how it's cast. My 83 head is over at my friend's house right now or i'd take a look at it to be sure...

Not yet. I've got some medical bills to pay off before I can put money into the Accord. Sucks; I miss driving it.

    Re: SZfiftyfour's 2G Accord Restoration

This isn't really an update, I was just kinda bored. I placed my VC and Redline filter adaptor and ProFlo filter on to see how it looked. The ProFlo is taller than I thought it would be. Like more than twice what the Weber pack-in is. I wasn't expecting it to have an inch and a half velocity stack as a base. It leaves about a 1/2-inch to 1-inch of clearance from the cowl.

I'm planning on changing the plug wires to blue. I think it'll go with the chrome and silver stuff better. Plus I wanted a set of Rapid Fire Mag's like I got for my truck and I believe they only come in blue.

Thanks dude. Thats the one, you cant really tell from a distance.
Hells yea, thanks for the heads up. Do you know if they were SI's? I need better calipers for my rear disc swap.

I was talking about the exhaust port lookin hole close to the mani. I know it's gotta be part of the cast, but it totally looks like a port. The threaded one is where the AC comp bracket was.
Dunno. Hazwan said they do the 2.5 bumper swap all the time over there, "...so they must not be that different". But this is coming from a country with more B-series 2geez & 3geez than the rest of the world combined; they could be com-fucking-pletely different . All I know is I'm gonna try it.

if that was a port opening in the head everything would have been covered in black soot in that area.

I see what you're talking about now. That looks rather stupid, doesn't it?

I found some website awhile ago that had 2.5g bumper covers for somewhere south of $20 each.

    Re: SZfiftyfour's 2G Accord Restoration

Got to thinking about wheels for my car again. I want something old school, but I'm not gonna hunt down some uber-expensive original track wheels for my lil 2g. That being said, I been looking at repro's for a while now. I've wanted a set of these for years (long story short, I spent the money set aside for them or i'd have em right now):
Drag DR16 [fake Gab Sports], 15x7, +40 offset, Gold/polished lip
    http://www.discounttire.com/product/...d16.gdm.xl.jpg
Even have a MSpaint chop from way back. https://www.3geez.com/forum/showpost....21&postcount=9

Then I seen these HD's just recently. Now I want these too! They're really unique IMO:
HPD- HDwheels RSB's [fake Techno Racing Phantoms] 15x7.5, +35 offset, Gold/polished lip
    http://www.hd-inc.com/09-goldrsb.html

Then there's the runner-ups. I want these less, but still like them a lot...
    Konig B-bomb [fake SSR Mk.III], 15x7, +38 offset, Opal/polished lip
    http://www.discounttire.com/product/...onbbo.o.xl.jpg

    Drag DR20 [fake Work equip 03], 15x7, +40 offset, Gold/polished lip
    http://www.discounttire.com/product/...d20.gml.xl.jpg

Let me know what you guys think. All opinions/suggestions/chops welcome.

The HD's are the most unique, and very old-school looking. I think those would be the ticket, but runner up for me would be the DR-16. Very classic, and the design seems like it would hold it's style. Definitely more appealing to a wider audience. But, we do drive Accords, so it's not like we're catering to what everybody else thinks.

Oh wow, I think I'm in love....with all of those. I've really got a boner for those B-Bombs, though....in fact, I just Googled "SSR Mk.III" and think the imitation is much better than the original.

Those would look super sweet on a gray '83 SE Sedan.

lol you're thinking the same way I am. Those DR16's are awesome but the RSB's match the 2g style better I think. You think I'll run into any fitment issues with the width and offset?

Agreed They do look damn nice, its too bad they only come in gray and red. From what I've read, most of the one piece imitators are heavier, by like 4-5lbs each. So the originals are better in that aspect, but at 4x the price I dont think it's really worth it unless you have a show car or a legitimate race car.

I'll post up a pic of what I'm talking about. By 'velocity stack' I meant the whole filter assembly's base is shaped like one. Which Summit didn't show in the pics. Luckily it just barely fit, and I meant just barely. Since I didn't even bother to check the dimensions before I bought it.
