    cylinderhead gasket

    hi guys

    I´m going to fit new pistons 0.5 oversize on b20a2 engine (black top), I´ve a question, the cylinder head gasket must be standard or oversize also??

    .050" bore is little over a millimeter, so I would look into finding Over-sized head gasket also. Don't need that much over-hang of copper gasket in the combustion chamber.

    (assuming you mean .050 & not .50 )

    edit- If you mean .5 mm, .020" bore. Copper gasket standard size should be ok. (from my experience)

    .5 mm = .020" overbore, you should be ok with standard copper head gasket.

    yes .5mm you will be fine with any stock gasket!

    I do in fact have a .050" (inches not mm) bore and I had to use a custom head gasket. Cost wasn't too bad, but getting it to seal was a nightmare until I learned all the tricks with copper gaskets!

    consider yourself lucky!
