    transmission mount?

    i gota 89 lxi auto and the mount on the trans side looks like an exhaust rubber holder thing (can't think of the word) is there anything i can fab up to make this stiff cuz i believe i'm losing power to the wheels becuz of this, thanks

    this is totaly under the wrong section and if you are suggesting that you are losing power due to your transimision mounts you are very mistaken. if you culd rephrase thought I might be able to help more

    oh sorry, um well it is really a exhaust mount, its rubber and it looks like this (O = O) only its vertical, the trans has a rod mounted on it that goes into the bottom hole and the engine bay has another rod that goes into the top hole and so the trans kind of hangs from this rubber piece, and its really flemsy i just figured something metal or urethane would help put power to the ground. i was wondering if anyone has done anything about that since there are urethane motor mount inserts and such for other vehicles.

    yeah thats it, but thats rubber right? i'm looking for something a little more solid. how much is that btw?

    depending where you go it should run anywhere between $13.00-$25.00
