the accord musta really set the bar for back in the day, gauges to tell you when to get an oil change and tire rotation back in the 70's was probably unheard of, good stuff
Werd, Accords were way ahead of their time. I just bought a JDM 1gee Accord brochure on eBay. Wait until you see that thing. They're chalk full of options. In Japan, you could get the 1600 or 1800. There were 4 different trim levels for each car... These are the pics I copied off eBay. The thing should be in the mail from Japan soon enough.

Did the late 70's accords have OD on the Hondamatics? i love thrashing a Hondamatic hahahaha sounds kewl
Black with leather!
I think most of the last 70s models had the 2 speed Hondamatic. Which was really a manually shifted automatic from what I hear. I'm not sure when the 3 speed, full-auto Hondamatic came in, but I think that the 3rd gear may have been an OD. Wonder if it was a locking torque converter too... I only drove my car once with the 3 speed auto in it. Then promptly pulled it out and replaced it with a 5-speed.
