    new pics

I haven't been around much on the board, but here are some updated pics of what I've been doing. Oh yeah no bashing she's on cut springs and stock shocks, I sacrificed handling for looks only temporarily.

I also forgot to post of pics of the dual valve springs from the 2g prelude I put in.
While i was putting in my 272 cam and tuning the timing with a ge cam gear, I read the marks wrong and had it on a whole tooth advanced when I thought I was only 1 degree advanced. I had it running in my driveway for a lil while and decided it was time for a test drive. After driving it around with a crap load of bottom end I wanted to try the upper rpms. Took it up to about 4k and then I heard a real loud clinging noise almost like my engine was rattling apart. After messing around a bit to find out what it was my Dad and I were turning the crank and I noticed one valve spring was staying down while the others were going up. Once the #4 piston came all the way up it would hit the valve and make a loud pop noise. Turned out to be a bent intake valve. I took the head off of my spare motor and the head off of nancy that day. Finished putting the valve in from the spare motor and the dual valve springs on the intake side, then the next day put nancy back together and running with the 272 cam on 1 degree retarded and it's been like that ever since.
    now to the pics

Looks good, good thing you didn't mess up anything other than the valve. I would like to do the dual valve springs also since there is nothing after market available.

Yeah I was really glad to get it put back together and running in 2 days. I like the dual valve springs and recomend doing it good bang for the buck. My motor sounds way different since the cam, a deeper tone at idle and a sweet winding noise at higher rpms almost like its supercharged.

Dual springs? You use stock 2g ones? Point me to some info? Also what is the advantage of the dual over single spring?

Well from what I heard the carb'd 2g preludes didn't have rev limiters, so Honda put in dual valve springs to prevent valve float. The dual ones are supposed to be good for 8k revs. Next time you see a carb'd 2g prelude in the junkyard pull the head off, bring a valve spring compressor and take the retainers, you also need both seats top and bottom.
I couldn't find the thread but I remember reading this stuff from Rjudgey

Yeah I noticed that on the 3g accords the exhaust side has the dual valve springs also but not the intake side.

Looking good bro. I'm not a fan of fat fives but I love the way they look on your ride! Better get some camber kits though I see the tread on your back tires wearing down.

only thing is that our bottom end does not like high revs specially with stock rods. its a good mod to a built engine...hope everything goes good. any videos of how it runs.
