Re: Haunted CA3's Honda Accord 2.0Si Exclusive

i plan on having fun with it and hoping it will look a fair bit sharper than the day it rolled off the line, and with the microtech and itbs it should go a fair bit harder than that day as well.
am still trying to track down a front lip for it so i can make it look just right

    picked up the paint today!
started work on getting the bonnet nice and straight. fuck i hate big flat panels.
bloody hard to get looking straight. going to blow some primer on it in the weekend and give it a sand to see how good my eye is.

nah, its staying its standard, or as close to standard as the paint guy could match it .
thats just the name in the resene santano book
i gave him the fuel filler cap and he went through the colour book and matched it as close as he could.
its so close that you'd be hard pressed to pick the diff.

    minor update
dropped off the radically shortened remains of the honda intake manifold off at the engineers to have the runners milled flat today.
with any luck i should have it back tomorrow or thursday which means i might be able to have the flange welded on before the weekend so should have a nice set of 4x 45mm throttle bodies on the motor by next weekend!!!!!

yes , all this for a stock engine.
i could get some big cams etc but the front suspension would miss out on new shocks and a caliper overhaul.
and it would be nice to see just what can be squeezed out of a standard motor.
was hoping to pick the manifold up today but it wasnt finished at lunchtime , so hopefully tomorrow.
spent lunch break cleaning up the quads and the toyota manifold.
is all nice and shiney now

got the manifold back from being welded today.
spent my spare time at work tidying up the ports with the die grinder.
have it sitting in place at the mo, and to tell the truth i just want to sit in the garage and look at my handy work its just so sexy!
and since i just feel like being an arsehole, i'm not going to post a pic til tomorrow.
and i cant find my camera so i couldnt if i wanted.
    it is THE SEX tho

Re: Haunted CA3's Honda Accord 2.0Si Exclusive

have to get it milled again since it warped when being welded, a bit more porting and that will be finished.
then have to make a throttle cable, make a fuel line, block off some coolant lines, get a new pcv valve, since i broke the old one taking the manifold off, make 2 / 1 adaptor for the brake booster vac hose, get some toyota injector and tps plugs, have the microtech reconfigured, wire the microtech in and have it tuned, all while finishing the body work and painting it.
so hopefully be running in less than a year.
