Question Stalling turns off power to turn signals!?

My 1988 LX manual sometimes stalls when slowing down for a turn (in gear or in neutral). When engine dies, the power to the turn signal is lost and I do not see the turn signal indicators and I do not hear the clicking. Dash lights do not come on either.

Is this normal or do I have a bad ignition switch or some other faulty part?

    TIA

Sounds like a power issue to me or something is shorting out. And no this is not normal, the car should not stall at all.
