    Re: distributor conversion?

no.. a swap also has to buy obd1 ecu (chipped so you can tune it), obd0->obd1 conversion harness, buy or build a distributor conversion harness, modify the distributor to actually physically fit, modify the key so the timing is correct, get some tuning done etc etc...

i would say go to a junkyard, and take a chance on a $20 dizzy for an a20 at the junkyard. I found one that was almost brand new, it was a reman, but in GREAT shape.

Unless you mean like honda oem new, the swap will cost you WAY more.

btw i don't know of any obd0 dizzy's that would work, i have not heard of many people trying that though. For the effort involved it is probably not worth it. plus A20 junkyard dizzys are bound to be way easier to find.

    Re: distributor conversion?

    FYI,

    Chipped P75/PR4 - $150
    http://www.xenocron.com/catalog/ecus-c-24.html

Wideband and display so you don't blow up your motor - $230
    http://www.xenocron.com/catalog/omet...mbo-p-239.html

OBD conversion harness, and distributor harness - $154
    http://www.xenocron.com/catalog/obd-harness-c-29.html

    4G Accord 92-93 External Coil Distributor - $185
    http://www.xenocron.com/catalog/distributors-c-37.html

Now you have to modify the harness that you bought just to get it to work on an Accord, but then you should be good to go!

    Total: $719

Granted you could get almost all of this stuff a lot cheaper buying used stuff, but this is just an example of what to expect. Plus mounting the dizzy and modifying the key are not exactly simple.

    Re: distributor conversion?

yeah thats just the way it is unless you want to take a chance on ebay or way used stuff that may or may not be working as well as you might want it to. personally i hate sketchy shit like old dizzys and ecus of unknown origin. I would rather pay a bit more to have something known to work, and with warranty.

but that is about as high as the costs would get, and could always get cheaper depending on how crafty you are.

yeah good thing i picked it up from justin...even tho i was not plug and play as he said. even with the integra ECU it runs fine....it has a nice even pull now...it feels like i lost power because the transition of the powerband is soo smooth. i hate ripping on it since its not tuned....but i did smoke a 4th gen and like a 2002 buick...it was trying to pass me so i downshifted to 3rd gear and i never saw him again...

    Haha..

    To the original poster:

The work involved in getting the distributor you have to fit, is the same amount of work as it would be to get the 4G Dist to work. Its not worth the effort...

Tab realignment and key redrilling ... for the sake of not spending 50 bucks at a junk yard. My internal cost analysis says that it would work out to be the same >> if you do it RIGHT.

Just go to the yard, and pick up a Dist, thats your best option .. plug and play.
