I got my adapter plate from piercemanifolds.com. Carbsunlimited.com also has them. Yes you need one.
Installation is easy. Remove old carb and 500lbs of emissions stuff. Bolt on new carb, connect throttle, connect fuel, connect 12v choke! If you buy a new carb in a kit, it should come pretty close to pre-jetted. If not, you'll need to make sure it's properly jetted.
right on bro, thanks alot i couldnt find one any where
This is the kit:

Kit K727. You might have to call them to order it.
Or from Carbs Unlimited:

The kit number is the same no matter where you buy it.
hey could you tell me what all needs to stay and what all can go when i put the weber on there please
thanks
Everything will go. Once you start ripping carb stuff off, it will become more clear as you go along. The only think you'll need to hook vacuum lines to (from the intake manifold, not the carb) are the cruise control (if you have it), vacuum advance, and HVAC.
ok so no cruise , already got hvac but where would the advance go from
another one for ya, https://www.3geez.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60666 , in the first picture theres the vaccum ports where do you got them going to.
Vacuum is the same on any of those ports on the intake manifold. So just run a vacuum line from the advance on the distributor to any of those bungs on the manifold. Or you can put a Y in the vacuum line going to the HVAC and tap it that way. Either way works.
Oh yeah - you might 2 advance ports on the dizzy - the Weber HowTo for the 3g will show you which one to hook to, since they're the same. And since I don't remember myself.
