    Brake pads, what brand?

What are some good brand name pads? I need to replace my brakes and i cannot find any Raybesto QS pads which i read are good with Brembo blanks. SO what are some other good brands i should look for?

BTW this is for front brakes.

I got my Raybestos QS pads at Pep Boys. It's one of the few things I make a point of buying there. Do you have one in your area?

Yeah, that sounded like a good deal. I paid about $60 for the pads alone from "the boys."

endless make good pads. either ns or nr series.
    Also pagid are pretty good.
If u plan on using brembo rotors, talk to the brake specialist bout what you plan on doing e.g street driving, fast road or circuit racing and they'll set u up with the pad you need not the one you think you need.
last thing you want is to put race compound pads in when all you do is drive on the street and do the odd motorkhana.
You'll find your self rear ending someone on the street coz your awesome race pads werent hot enuff to work.
I just use a good quality semi metallic pad.
Work well from cold, work great when hot up to a point.
They arnt to flash after 5 laps.
    and they dont eat rotors

    Re: Brake pads, what brand?

I was asking about brands, and i wasn't going to put anything like racing pads. I just needed good name brands to look for, ceramic pads.

BTW finding a good brake specialist here who knows his stuff is like finding a flea on an elephants ass.

    Re: Brake pads, what brand?

I would go endless or pagid pads then.
havnt had any experiance with ceramic pads.
I know porsche have been having probs with there ceramic brakes.
Rotors cracking and the fact there is fuck all differance between just slowing down and smacking your face on the wheel.
if you can afford it, there is a company called project mu from japan.
They do some cool as brake rotors, calipers, pads etc

    Re: Brake pads, what brand?

I have had the best performance so far out of the Raybestos QS pads. That is not to say that there are not better pads out there. These are just what I picked up at Pep Boys as a better pad. I resurfaced my rotors on the car with a Brake Tru kit and slapped in these pads two years ago. I have not had a return of the pulsating pedal, the rotors look good, and the pads are holding up well. An additional benefit is that the ceramic pads make less and lighter dust so the rims look clean longer after a washing.

Sorry, for those of you who have never heard of Brake Tru:

The kit performs as advertised and is well worth the $20. I thought I would need new rotors before trying it.
