Does anybody know if the front bumper off the '89 lxi will fit on the '87?
Also, I was thinking the lights are all interchangeable, as well as other body parts.
Anybody know how far off base I am?

Yes the front bumper will fit if I'm not wrong. I've seen it done before. They have to take off the styrofoam though.

The only differences between the LXi and SEi are the rear disc brakes, and the interior. See the FAQ, the differences should be posted there.
As far as the 88-89 lenes fitting the 86-87. The 88-89 lenes mount differently, whereas the 86-87 lenes mount with a pair of screw's through the lens. Also I think the 86-87 lens is more rounded, you'd need to modify the housing for a lens that's less round. I can make custom front bumper clear's for 86-87 car's.

Just move the bumper over and the bumper lights then you can get both (kinda stupid statement)
If it's just the bumper lights, then Jim already answered that.
